In January 2020, Stepan Philippines organized relief efforts for those affected by the Taal Volcano eruption. The team donated clothing, bottled water, pillows, blankets and ready-to-eat meals to various evacuation centers.
Across the globe, Stepan employees offer their time and expertise to help their local communities. This includes working to restore ecosystems, supporting people with disabilities, providing support to the homeless or economically disadvantaged families, and mentoring young people in their exploration of science, technology, engineering and math careers.
Stepan partnered further with our employees by launching the Community Outreach Grant Program in 2019. This program provided financial contributions to eight organizations identified by our employees as impactful to their communities. We look forward to expanding our potential to make a difference through these grants and the numerous ways we give back to our local communities.

Since 2014, Stepan scientists at the Company Headquarters in Northfield, IL, US, have partnered with a local high school as part of the Teach for America Program. The partnership includes classroom teaching and mentoring for those interested in exploring science in college.
Stepan Mexico employees and their families planted 100 trees at a local nature preserve in 2019.
